Lindy and Salty racked up an impressive trialing record starting at age 9
years for Lindy and age 18 months for Salty lasting until Lindy aged
out. Their début the 1989 Nationals where Salty received her first
qualifying score with a first place in ducks handled by Lindy who was
High Score Junior in Trial. Over the next 8 years Lindy and Salty racked
up an impressive record going High Score Junior over 30 times, 7 High in
Trial Ducks, 3 High in Trial Sheep, 5 High In Trials. Lindy with Salty
was ASCA’s Year End Top Working Junior Handler every year she competed.
Salty and Lindy competed in two ASCA Stockdog Finals on both sheep and
ducks placing no lower than third, was Reserve CH Duck at the 1992
Finals. Lindy has now graduated from college with a Masters of Science
in Education: Teacher Preparation, Deaf Education. She is working as a
teacher and has a companion named Pepper to keep her company until the
day she is able to have another Aussie. Salty has passed over the
Rainbow Bridge but will always be remembered as a remarkable junior’s
dog complete with Aussie heart, character and style. All Aussie. |
